40 minutes to Traverse City and Glen Arbor (near Sleeping Bear Dunes). 15 minutes to Leland & Suttons Bay. Dozens of wineries on the Peninsula. Hiking trails at Leelanau State Park, Houdek Sand Dunes, Good Harbor Beach and more.
July 09 comment: This was by far the best vacation in a long time. The house is extremely cute and very clean. It's perfect for extended families, because the upstairs is self-contained with its own space and bath -- outside stairs. Northport is adorable, but Suttons Bay and Leland are also so close that you can find more than enough to do. Barb's Bakery (their cinamon sticks especially) was the highlight of the town! We've already reserved again for next year.

You really cant beat the view from Barefoot Beach. It was wonderful to sit on the patio inches from the water roasting marshmallows in the firepit. The village of Northport is adorable, with lots of variety for places to eat. Sleeping Bear dunes is an easy day trip. We would stay here again.
