Aug 08 review:My family and I have stayed at many locations in the Glen Arbor area since we began vacationing there in 1999: The Homestead Resort's several properties, the Sleepy Bear Campground, and other rental homes. We haven't enjoyed any of them as much as the Foxwood. The location is perfect for a walk into town. The river amenities are wonderful - especially since well-behaved dogs are allowed. Having a full kitchen and laundry makes vacations perfect for us. It may seem silly, but we really appreciate the heating & cooling system! It works perfectly in winter & in summer! We'll keep returning because the house is ideal for us and staff always remembers us. We wish there was a King-sized bed, but we always manage to sleep past 9am which is really late for us! Summer 09: Foxwood cottage in Glen Arbor was in the perfect location for us. It was within a short walk to town and we enjoyed many of the great restaurants and shops without even having to drive. We loved the kayak and canoe available with the cabin and the access to the Crystal River was great. It is the perfect place to stay if you love nature and outdoor activities. The roads are very nice for biking and there are numerous scenic hiking trails nearby. Sept 09 comment:Wonderful surprise! We didn't have the opportunity to explore the area or enjoy the cottage's ameneties, but we hope to be able to return to do so.
