  We have stayed at the Homestead before and will do so again. Unit 54 was not dusted in the living room and the jacuzzi bath tiles needed some grout. But otherwise it was fine. As for service, I did not get a response to two email inquiries as to whether there was WiFi at unit 54. This was after I had paid for the rental so I couldn't change units. When we got there, there was indeed WiFi but we were not given the code and a phone call to ask for that code was not returned. So some frustration there for me and for our guests, and I would not rent a unit without WiFi again. In my opinion this was a completely avoidable and unnecessary problem that detracted from our stay. The Homestead is a great vacation destination.

  Michigan was the most wonderful place to spend our 10th Anniversary. Sleeping Bear Dunes offered the best hiking with some trails having the most beautiful views of lake Michigan. It was breath-taking. I have not taken so many pictures in years. Glen Arbor was such a nice little town and the local people were all so friendly. Our stay at the Hawks nest in the Homestead was great. I would recommend it to anyone going up that way. We had a nice partial view of the water and the property was nicely decorated and very clean. It felt like home for a week. I cannot believe we have never traveled to Michigan before and will definitely come back!

  We loved our stay in unit 54. The location was beautiful and especially enjoyed the screened in porch areas. Our only disappointment was the 10:00 am checkout on Sunday. We were hoping for a noon checkout so we could enjoy at least the morning part of our stay.

  This condo is located in a very beautiful place. We can see the North Manitou Island from the window and of course the Lake Michigan.
  The only problem is the old appliances and the odor of the house and not able to access to all the condo club and facilities. Other than that, it is good place to get away.
