Want a quiet little getaway on a sweet all sports lake? Summerset is just the spot. 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom cottage right on Little Traverse Lake, just northeast of Glen Arbor. One level cottage on E. Harbor Hwy. faces north. Nice, central location to all Leelanau attractions. Sleeps up to 4.

1 Queen and 2 Twins. Cable TV, DSL internet. Washer and dryer. Full kitchen (no dishwasher) with vintage stove. Wood pellet stove for chilly nights. Screened in porch that's perfect for enjoying your morning coffee.

Paddle the lake in the provided kayak and join the loons at the end of the day for quiet reflection. Big yard area that leads to the lake is a perfect space for a game of catch. Fire pit and charcoal grill also included. 15 minutes to Leland or Glen Arbor and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. 30 minutes to Traverse City. Go for a hike at Pyramid Point--it's just down the street!

Window air conditioner. Small dog ok. Linens are provided. No smoking. Saturday-Saturday for summer weeks. Short stays considered--just ask us!

Nice house. Bathroom shower could use a better cleaning, as could the washing machine. No cookware for everyday cooking, but we made it work with the one skillet and pot that were usable. One major flaw: The power went out and we had to call the management company 3 times before actually getting someone. The following day, almost 24 hours later, the emergency technician called to find out if we had electricity restored. We had no heat (50's by day, 30's by night) and no hot water or running water. I found a place down the road with firewood and got the wood burning stove lit, to give us some heat. But, the management company could have helped out a lot more.

  We are sorry when things like this happen but it is something not in our control. We are at the mercy of the power company. Water is pumped from a well so that would be affected also. It always is a situation that has to be waited out. We have added additonal kitchen items.

We were told that the rental had internet and a DVD player which it did not have. We needed the internet to communicate with work and do business. Not having the internet as promised inconvenienced us greatly. Many would call this false advertisement.

  We are very sorry for any inconvenience the lack of these amenities caused. We were not aware that the DVD player was removed.(we have since found out it is built into the TV) Regarding the internet access, usage has always been made available with a shared connection with the neighboring home. We do not know why service was not available as it had been in the past. We hope we have the opportunity to have you as a guest again and show that we can provide a positive rental experience. We have forwarded a discount coupon for a future stay. Thank you for staying with us!

Probably could use some additional items for cooking (bread knife, large bowl, stock pot). Needed directions for wood stove (had vhs format but only dvd in unit). Did not have code for Wi Fi. could have used life jackets for kayaks. closed in porch, very
beautiful, but 2 windows don't close making it chilly. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. We loved the view of the lake.

We had a great time during our recent stay at Summerset cottage. Being able to kayak on the crystal clear waters of Little Traverse Lake was a wonderful "bonus," as was having two Lake Michigan beaches just a few miles down the road. Though the kitchen was missing a few items (dish towels, in particular), and the twin mattresses were a little soft,the cottage, for the most part, offered just about everything we needed. We took full advantage of the grill, the fire ring, and the kayaks, and had a great time visiting this beautiful area!

cute place; it was very musty when we arrived-we had to air it out and light candles--you could smell the oldness but the location was nice and the lake was great. the vaccuum didn't work which made it difficult to clean up after ourselves as request
