  We rent vacation properties frequently. Considering that it cost us over $400 per night, I was not anticipating any issues. Hopefully these comments will help make the next person's visit more enjoyable. The code for access to the pool was written down incorrectly in the paperwork provided. It was given incorrectly again after calling for the code. We finally got the correct code after the third try. The internet connection was not functioning when we arrived. We specifically called ahead to be sure there was a connection as my husband had to work during our stay, so it was troublesome to learn it had been disconnected. Several hours of our vacation were wasted trying to get the connection working again. The master bedroom bed is not stable on the frame or something. You could hear every movement (even just rolling over in bed) in the adjoining living room. There were a cobwebs hanging from the ceilings and on decorative pieces - which I would expect in a cabin but not a condo. There were no instructions as to how to access the cabana or what to do with garbage. The area is beautiful and the view from the balcony is lovely, but there were no chairs/furniture on the balcony to sit out and enjoy the scenery.

  The place was great but we had several issues.
  We got there and there were at least 30 dead flys in the kitchen and the hot water heater was not functioning. Someone came to fix it and the problem was flys were clogging up the water heater unit hence the dead flys.... The water heater was repaired and the flys disappeared. This issue in an of itself would have been fine. The second issue was a bee's nest in the master bedroom. The window was not closed all the way and it was really windy. When we tried to close it we realized a bee's nest was lodged between the window and the screen making it impossible to close. Next were fruit fly's. We researched to try to find out where they were coming from and how to get rid of them. We leared that they have a 12 day hatching period. the last guests were there 12 days ago so we're assuming the eggs were there when we got there. We also noticed the carpet was not vaccumed. There were crumbs etc all over when we arrived. We also noticed the toilet had a ring around it indicating that it was not propery cleaned. Also, the pool was closed for maintenance. In spite of all of this we enjoyed our stay and thought the condo was very pretty. However, we would not stay here again and would not recommend it. We will think twice before staying at another of the properties managed by visit up north. They responded when we had a problem, but we should not have had so many issues. We considered trying to get some kind of discount but the book said critters happen. We agree it's up north but I have been up north a ton and never had this many critters. Esp. since it's a luxery condo. We've stayed in old cabins and not had any critters. We were pretty shocked about all of the critters and think an exterminater and a good cleaning crew are needed at moonlight bay.

  Curtains, shades, or blinds in the unit would have been an improvement. The towels and washcloths should probably be replaced as they were thin and rough. The unit was spacious for two couples and the view was spectacular - great sunrises.

  The Condo was clean and well managed. The View is amazing-- nice kitchen and the location is great. Some things in the Condo did not work - like the DVD player. We had a problem with nats (fruit flies) but the whole area was suffering due to harvest and warm weather. The management team was helpful. I would recommend the place.

  We had to wash all the dishes and flatware - Dishes in the cabinets had been put away dirty. There was a container of garbage under the sink. The code for the lockbox was wrong, but someone returned our call and gave us the right code. Having the wrong code was especially disturbing, as we arrived at almost 11 p.m., tired from traveling almost 12 hours. After these
  inconveniences, our stay was wonderful. Suttons Bay is delightful.
